WEINIG Profimat 23 – Four-sided planer and automatic rebating machine
The WEINIG Profimat 23 is a four-sided planer and automatic rebating machine designed for multi-sided machining of solid timber. The machine combines planing, joining and profiling in a single pass. Typical applications include the production of window and door profiles, furniture components, mouldings and components for interior fit-outs.
The standard version processes workpieces with a working width of 10 to 230 mm and a working height of 4 to 120 mm. The infinitely variable feed speed ranges from 5 to 24 m/min. Different spindle configurations allow the machine to be adapted to the specific machining task.
Machining and Machine Configuration
The Profimat 23 machines the underside, both long sides and the top of the workpiece using successive tool spindles. Depending on the spindle configuration, straight surfaces, dimensionally accurate cross-sections and profiled contours can be produced. Additional profiling spindles can distribute the machining across several tools and reduce tool changes for recurring profiling tasks.
The machine design includes a 2 m long dressing table, pneumatically loaded feed rollers, a cardan drive for the feed, and driven rollers in the outfeed table. The height of the upper spindle and the feed can be adjusted by motor. Mechanical digital displays assist with machine set-up. A soundproof and safety enclosure surrounds the machining area.
