WEINIG Powermat 2400 – Four-sided planer and moulder
The WEINIG Powermat 2400 is a modular four-sided planer and moulder for industrial solid wood processing. It planes and profiles workpieces in a throughfeed process and is suitable for mouldings, tongue-and-groove boards, parquet, window components and handrails. Equipment adapted to the material also enables the processing of MDF, plastics and wood-plastic composites such as WPC.
The standard version handles working widths from 20 to 230 mm and working heights from 10 to 160 mm. Different spindle arrangements, tool mounting systems and feed options allow the machine to be configured for the production task.
Machining and Machine Configuration
A heavy cast iron frame forms the machine's foundation. Feed rollers and pneumatic pressure elements transport and guide workpieces through the machining stations. The machine table has a MarathonCoating surface; segmented table plates allow adjustment to different tool radii.
The standard Memory Plus control supports entry of workpiece dimensions and tool radii via a touchscreen. Up to 500 profiles can be stored. Electronic displays assist with setting the machine. The documented safety equipment includes a full enclosure, an electromagnetic hood interlock and electronic spindle brakes.
