WEINIG 504 – Hydro profile cutterhead
The WEINIG 504 is a hydro profile cutterhead for machining flat surfaces and profiles at high feed speeds. Its steel body holds serrated-back profile knives. Different diameters and numbers of cutting edges allow the tool to be matched to the machining task.
Machining and Machine Configuration
The cutterhead uses hydraulic mounting, while clamping wedges and screws secure the knives. The profile knives are ground in the tool body to achieve the specified concentricity. Resharpening on the knife backs is documented with WEINIG Rondamat 960 and 970 grinders. The tools can be jointed on suitably equipped machines.
