SCHUKO Profi-S – Mobile chip extraction unit
The SCHUKO Profi-S range comprises mobile extraction units for direct chip extraction from individual machines and cleaning machines and workshop floors. It is intended for locations where a fixed extraction system would be too costly or cannot be installed because of limited space. The range includes Profi-S 2 and Profi-S 3, with different inlet diameters and motor ratings.
Machining and Machine Configuration
The units are started by push button and operate under positive pressure, with the fan on the dirty-air side. A filter bag made from antistatic class M filter fabric separates particles from the airflow. Collected chips fall into a replaceable PE collection bag. A Profi-S 3 version with a chip collection bin is also documented.
Castors allow the units to be moved. They can be used with a hose and cleaning attachment or connected to a machine. The filter is cleaned manually while the unit is stopped; no automatic regeneration mechanism is provided.

Weights apply with the standard motor. The manufacturer specifies a construction tolerance of ±5%. Airflow and pressure are catalogue values, not a guarantee for any arbitrary connected ductwork.
Application and classification
Documented applications include chip extraction in plastics processing and collecting paper scraps in paper processing. Exhaust air must be discharged outdoors. These units are not intended for dust explosion classes St 2 and St 3, dusts with a minimum ignition energy below 10 mJ, or dusts containing biopersistent mineral fibres. Suitability for a specific material must be checked against the manufacturer's documentation. The filter fabric's dust class does not constitute approval of the entire unit for arbitrary hazardous substances.
This description refers to the versions documented in the June 2026 edition. The configuration and year of manufacture of an individual used unit may differ.
