MAFELL HIT-M – Portable zero-joint edgebander
The MAFELL HIT-M is a portable zero-joint edgebander for panel edges in furniture and interior joinery production. Its hot-air injection technology activates the functional layer of suitable zero-joint edging. This creates a visually seamless joint without applying additional adhesive at the machine. Straight edges, curves, free-form components and bevelled panel edges can be processed depending on the version and equipment.
Machining and Machine Configuration
The HIT-M features automatic edging intake with edge detection and continuously adjustable feed. Temperature and feed speed are set on the control panel. The support plate tilts up to 50° for bevelled edges. Edging height and thickness must be matched to the workpiece and functional layer.
For portable operation, the device is guided along the workpiece. An additional BAT processing table enables semi-stationary use, with the workpiece guided to the device on repositionable ball transfer units.

These shared specifications apply to the three documented versions. Edging height, minimum internal radius, dimensions and weight depend on the version.
Application and classification
The HIT-M complements edgebanding operations requiring a portable device or semi-stationary workstation. Applications include free-form components and bevelled edges. The technical variant table assigns the minimum internal radius of 10 mm specifically to the HIT-M 65 SA; it specifies 22 mm for the HIT-M 65 and HIT-M 103.
