DHB DH 800 – Universal shredder for wood waste
The DHB DH 800 is a single-shaft shredder for processing wood waste. A hydraulic pusher feeds the material towards an 800 mm wide cutting rotor. With a 30 kW motor and a hopper capacity of approximately 1.2 m³, it is the larger model in the DH 600 / DH 800 series.
Operation and construction
The load-controlled hydraulic pusher presses material towards the rotor. Wear-resistant plastic guides require no lubrication. The rotor has a diameter of 400 mm and carries 46 concave cutting inserts, each usable in four positions. The two-part counterknife has cutting edges inclined at 15°.
Enclosed spherical roller bearings positioned away from the machine body support the rotor. Elastomer dampers support the gearbox mounting. The hopper uses 6 mm steel plate with additional reinforcement. The welded frame has a 20 mm upper frame and 16 mm side walls.
The screen sits in a robust holder. A removable extraction tray is standard equipment. A Siemens PLC controls the machine from a fan-cooled electrical cabinet.

Applications
The DH 800 is suitable for on-site reduction of wood offcuts and wood-based materials. Compared with the DH 600, it has a wider, larger-diameter rotor, more cutting inserts and a larger feed hopper. The stated throughput depends on the material and screen and is not a material-independent performance guarantee.
